Once logged in, it is recommended to first fund your shipping account and to consider setting up your default Sender and Return-to Address.

Create a Label
To get started creating a label
- Log in to your EasyPost dashboard
- Click on the Buy a Label button on the top right corner of the Shipments page
Enter Address Information
Next, input the Sender and Recipient Address.
Sender Address:
Your default addresses will be automatically populated as the Sender Address & Return To Address, but if you're shipping from an address different than your defaults, you can add an address manually .
Recipient Address:
- Enter the Recipient Address information into the corresponding fields:
- Send To name, Company Name (if applies) Email, Phone, Street, City, State, Zip, Country
- Once all the required fields on Sender and Recipient Addresses are entered, you will be able to proceed to the NEXT screen using the button in the lower right corner of the screen.
EasyPost automatically verifies your addresses using its USPS CASS certified address verification system and may recommend minor reformatting. Be sure to review these recommendations to ensure successful delivery.
Customs Information (optional)
The customs page will only be required when shipping across international borders; i.e. United States to Canada, etc.
To complete the form:
- Fill out the mandatory Customs Information and Package Contents sections for your shipment.
- Check the box to certify and enter your name in the Signature field
- For further support on Customs requirements, EasyPost recommends following the USPS standards when shipping internationally.
Parcel & Label Options
The Parcel & Label Options page is where you will input all the details of the package container so that EasyPost can ensure your package gets to your recipient for the best possible price.
To complete the form:
- Weight is required and should represent the final package weight.
- Length, Width and Height for your package are highly recommended as many carriers have pricing based on dimensional weight and not just package weight. Including this information will help you to avoid unexpected adjustment charges from the carriers.
- Label Format: The preferred file type to print the label you are purchasing.
- Predefined Package: If you are using a Carrier Provided Package, you can select your predefined package from the list.
- Advanced Options: This is where you will be able to access some optional features for purchasing the label such as Signature Required, or declaring Hazardous Materials (Hazmat)
Carrier & Service
This page is where you will be given a list of rates from the available carriers enabled on your account organized by cost and estimated delivery times. This information is powered by EasyPosts' SmartRate optimization software.
To complete the form:
- Choose your preferred carrier and service level using the checkboxes available.
- EasyPost offers a package Insurance Add On at the lowest rate and which works across any carrier, to any destination up to $5000 coverage.
Checkout
If you have already funded your EasyPost wallet, then there is no prompt for a credit card. Instead, the funds will be debited from your EasyPost Wallet immediately and your label will be ready to print!.
If your EasyPost Wallet is not yet funded, you will be prompted to input your credit card information. Proceed with with the payment to receive your printable shipping label.
