EasyPost supports credit and debit cards as payment methods for funding the EasyPost Wallet. Card payments are recommended when same-day funding is required. This article explains how to add, manage, and remove card payment methods, along with associated fees and limitations.
Prerequisites
- Access to the EasyPost Dashboard.
- A valid debit or credit card (prepaid cards are not supported).
Adding a Credit or Debit Card
Credit and debit cards can be added as payment methods during initial account setup or at any time from the EasyPost Dashboard.
To add a card as a payment method, follow the steps outlined in the EasyPost Wallet Setup article or navigate to Account Settings > Billing from within the EasyPost dashboard. Once added, card payment methods can be used for one-time funding or auto-reload of the EasyPost Wallet.
Manage Card Payment Methods
Card payment methods can be managed from Account Settings > Billing.
To replace an existing credit card:
- Add a new credit card or payment method.
- After the new payment method has been saved, remove the previous credit card.
Note: At least one payment method must remain on the account. Add a new payment method before removing the existing credit card.
Fees for Card Payments
A 3.75% convenience fee is applied to all transfers made into the EasyPost Wallet using a credit or debit card.
These fees appear in the Payment Logs report as a Convenience Fee transaction type.
Processing Time for Fund Transfers
Transfers made using a credit or debit card are processed instantly. Funds are available in the EasyPost Wallet immediately after a successful transaction, whether initiated through auto-reload or a one-time funding event.
Prepaid Debit Cards
Prepaid debit cards are not supported and cannot be used as a payment method within EasyPost.
Storing Card Details
When a shipping label is purchased through the EasyPost Dashboard, and a card is entered at checkout, the card is automatically saved as a payment method.
Saved payment methods can be viewed and managed by navigating to Account Settings > Billing.
