Overview
Nexus allows users to print shipping labels for orders generated through Shopify. Follow the steps below to review orders, manage item weight and packaging types, select carrier rates, and buy shipping labels.
Locate and Review Order
Navigate to the Orders tab. Select the order in the Unfulfilled Orders grid.
Review the order details, customer information, and addresses to ensure accuracy.
Note: The Billing Address will match the address entered when creating the account, unless a default is otherwise specified in the Nexus Shipping Settings or Shopify account.
Create Shipping Label
Select Create Shipping Label to get started.
Manage Shipping Address
If the Shipping Address is incorrect, use the Edit button (Pencil Icon) to make the appropriate changes.
Manage Item Weight
The Items section lists each item in the order along with the ordered quantity. If no weight is displayed, use the Edit Weights button to add a weight for each item.
Enter a Weight and UOM for each item or use the field above the item list and the Apply to All button to add the same weight for all items in the order.
Select Done to apply the weights.
Add Package
Select from available packages or click Add Package to create a new package type.
Available packages are determined by packages added via the Packages Settings page or when creating a shipping label. See Manage Nexus Settings.
Create one of the following package types:
Custom Package
Provide the following details for a custom package:
- Package Name: A unique identifier for the package.
- Dimensions: Enter a length, width, height, and UOM.
- Weight when empty (optional): Enter the weight of the empty packaging and a UOM.
To set as the default rated package type, enable the Use this as the default package for rate calculations setting. The first package created will enable this setting automatically. After adding multiple packages, this setting may be enabled for any package.
Click Add Package.
Carrier Package
Expand the desired carrier section and select a package type.

Click Add Package.
Select Rate
The Rate section lists all available carrier services with rates and expected time in transit. The Cheapest and Fastest Results are labeled.
Select a Carrier Service to continue.
Buy Label
Review the charges summary and select the Buy Shipping Label button to buy and generate a label.
Download Packing Slip
Select the Download Packing Slip button on a fulfilled order to view and print the packing slip.
Download Shipping Label
Select the Download Shipping Label button on a fulfilled order to view and print the shipping label.
