Overview
Locations in Nexus represent a shipping origin location, often a physical store.
If a Shopify integration is properly configured, locations will automatically sync from Shopify. Adding a location in Shopify will automatically populate the store and its data in Nexus. Locations imported from Shopify cannot be edited in Nexus and must be managed via Shopify.
Locations Management also allows users to manually add locations that are not associated with an integrated eCommerce platform. These locations are completely managed within Nexus.
Access Location Management
Navigate to the Settings page and select Locations.
The Locations grid displays all locations that have been synched from Shopify or manually created in Nexus.
Manually Add New Location
Click Add Location.
Configure the following settings:
- Location Key: Enter a unique identifier for the store.
- Store Details: Enter a store name and address.
- Default Ship Location: If enabled, the address will serve as the default Origin location used to calculate Estimated Delivery Time. If Shopify is connected, Shopify orders will follow the location assigned in Shopify, regardless of the default ship location indicated in Nexus. For manual orders, the default ship location is always pre-selected.
- Store Contact Details: Enter the store’s contact information.
Manage Existing Locations
Press the Menu button in the location’s row.
Select Edit to make changes to the Location. All details may be edited for manually created locations. Users can only edit the Default Ship Location and Store Contact Details settings for locations synched from Shopify. All other address details must be managed via Shopify.
Select Delete to delete the location. Locations synched from Shopify and the default location cannot be deleted. Users can only delete manually created locations that are not the default location.
View Location in Order Details
An order’s origin location is displayed at the top of the order details window.
