Overview
Forge Advanced Shipping enables platforms to provide sub-accounts with access to a white-labeled shipping interface.
Advanced Shipping is powered by ShipBlink and allows sub-accounts to purchase labels, view rates, and manage shipments within a branded shipping experience while carrier billing and configuration remain under platform control.
Advanced Shipping can be enabled for both Centralized (Self-Managed Billing) and Decentralized (EasyPost-Managed Billing) implementations. When used with the Centralized implementation option, Advanced Shipping works seamlessly Forge FlexRate.
Prerequisites
- A Forge-enabled EasyPost account
- Administrative access to the Forge Dashboard
- Active carrier configuration
For Centralized implementations, carrier configuration is managed by the Parent account. For Decentralized implementations, sub-accounts use their own carrier accounts.
Inviting a Sub Account to Advanced Shipping
Advanced Shipping access is enabled at the sub-account level.
- Navigate to Sub Accounts in the Forge Dashboard.
- Select the desired sub-account.
- Choose Invite to Advanced Shipping.
An invitation email is sent to the sub-account’s registered email address.
Sub Account Activation
After receiving the invitation:
- The sub-account opens the invitation email.
- A password is created.
- The Advanced Shipping interface becomes accessible immediately after activation.
No additional carrier configuration is required if carrier accounts are already established under the Centralized option.
How Pricing is Applied
Advanced Shipping reflects the pricing configuration associated with the platform’s implementation option.
For Centralized (Self-Managed Billing) implementations, displayed rates reflect the customer-facing rate after Forge FlexRate adjustments are applied. Pricing segmentation configured through Sub Account Groups is also honored.
Supported adjustment options include:
- Standard (single-rule evaluation)
- Hierarchical (precedence-based evaluation)
- Cumulative (additive evaluation)
For Decentralized (EasyPost-Managed Billing) implementations, rates displayed in Advanced Shipping reflect the carrier rates associated with the sub-account’s configured carrier accounts. FlexRate adjustments are not applied in this option.
Carrier billing follows the selected implementation option.
Managing Advanced Shipping Access
Advanced Shipping access may be managed from the Sub Accounts page.
Access may be:
- Granted
- Revoked
- Re-issued if necessary
Changes apply to future sessions.
Best Practices
