Advanced Tracking introduces WeSupply’s branded tracking technology into EasyPost’s Core API.
This integration enables direct-to-consumer (DTC) shippers to deliver a fully branded post-purchase experience without the need for multiple platforms.
Advanced Tracking unlocks access to previously unavailable tracking features like:
- Customizable tracking pages that reflect brand identity, including the option to host the page on a custom domain.
- Automated SMS and email shipping notifications.
- Split shipment tracking.
- Visibility and insights reporting.
By introducing WeSupply’s advanced post-purchase features to EasyPost’s ecosystem, Advanced Tracking offers a seamless experience for merchants and their customers, reducing inquiries, improving customer satisfaction, and creating opportunities for additional post-purchase revenue. Prerequisites
- Active EasyPost account.
- Payment method configured in EasyPost Wallet (used for Advanced Tracking billing).
- Customer contact information available. Advanced Tracking sends notifications to the end recipient using the
emailandphonevalues passed in theto_address. Make sure these fields are provided for each shipment.
Accessing Advanced Tracking
- Sign up for an EasyPost account.
- Verify your email address by entering the code provided.
- Log in to the EasyPost account.
- Choose For Personal Use or For Business.
- Enter Account Setup information and select Next.
- Complete the Account Configuration details and select Get Started:
- Enter Customer Experience information (logo, colors, etc.) and select Start Shipping!
Configuration and Setup
The Advanced Tracking setup includes the following steps, each with an accompanying video walkthrough.
- Carrier Setup: Existing EasyPost carrier integrations are automatically enabled.

Company Configuration: Set company details such as website URL and DNS settings for branding and notifications.

Tracking Page Design: Upload logo, select colors, and customize layout to create a custom-branded tracking page.

Email Templates: Configure the content and style of customer notifications.

Enable Notifications: Choose which shipment events trigger customer communications.
Note: Advanced Tracking uses the contact information supplied in the shipment
to_addressto send email and SMS notifications to the end recipient. Ensure that validemailandphonevalues are included when creating shipments.
Billing
Advanced Tracking is billed to the primary payment method setup in the EasyPost Wallet. Pricing is $0.03 per shipment. This is assessed monthly for the previous month's usage.
Canceling Advanced Tracking
Advanced Tracking can be canceled at any time from the EasyPost Dashboard.
- Navigate to Account Settings > Billing.
- Locate the Advanced Tracking section and select Cancel.
- A confirmation modal will appear indicating that canceling Advanced Tracking will:
- Remove access to email and SMS tracking notifications.
- Disable the custom branded tracking page.
- Redirect any existing branded tracking page links to the WeSupply homepage.
- Select Cancel Plan to finalize cancellation.
Best Practices
- Enable notifications for high-value or time-sensitive shipments to reduce “Where is my order?” inquiries. All recommended notifications are noted with blue text instead of black.
- Align tracking page branding with other customer-facing materials to reinforce brand recognition.
- Review shipment event timing to avoid sending premature or delayed notifications.
