Requirements
In order to add UPS Mail Innovations as a carrier in EasyPost, you need to already have an account established with UPS. You can sign up for a UPS account here. Then you need to have UPS Mail Innovations enabled on your UPS account. To get that enabled you'll need to work directly with UPS. If you already have a UPS Representative for your account you will want to reach out to them otherwise you can contact UPS via their Contact Page.
You will need the following credentials from UPS:
- UPS Shipper Number
- UPS.com User ID
- UPS.com Password
Our UPS Mail Innovations also can support Live Rating. If you would like to receive rates in real time from the UPS MI API and avoid having to upload a rate table, you will also need the following two credentials:
- Customer Id
- Customer guid
Register Your UPS Mail Innovations Account With EasyPost
Once you obtain these credentials you can use them to create a UPS Mail Innovations account on the EasyPost Carriers Account Page. Additional guidance on this can be found in our Adding a Carrier guide.
If you would like to utilize a rate table for your account rather than access the live rated API, you can set this up with help from the support team. After creating your UPS MI account, you will want to obtain a rate table from your UPS Mail Innovations Representative and then send that file to support@easypost.com. Please note that uploading a rate table can take a 1-2 weeks to complete.
