At EasyPost, we are committed to providing you with Best In Class service, which includes the means to keeping your account secure.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is a verification process designed to ensure that only you can log in to your EasyPost Account. We have implemented this security measure which, when enabled on your account, requires users to verify their identity upon login.
Benefits of Multi-Factor Authentication
- Enhanced Security: Adds an extra layer of security, making it more difficult for hackers to gain access to accounts even if they have stolen a password.
- Reduced Risk of Unauthorized Access: By requiring multiple verification factors, MFA significantly reduces unauthorized access to sensitive data.
- Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Many regulatory bodies recommend the use of MFA to ensure data security and compliance.
Avoid Login Disruptions
To avoid login disruptions, we recommend ensuring that your phone number data is accurate and complete.
To manage your contact information in EasyPost Dashboard:
- Login to your EasyPost Account
- Navigate to User Settings
- Verify Phone Number is accurate and includes area code
- Save changes by clicking Update User Info
To manage your contact information in Forge Dashboard:
- Login to your EasyPost Account
- Navigate to User Settings
- Verify Phone Number is accurate and includes area code
- Click Save Changes
Verification Process
- Upon Login, users must specify the method through which they would like to verify, either email, phone call or text.
- A one-time code will be sent within 30 seconds that expires in 10 minutes. Users must input their code into the form fields to verify their log in.
How do I enable Multi Factor Authentication for my account?
MFA can be enabled from the Members page of the EasyPost dashboard or the Forge Dashboard. This page is accessible to Admin agents only.
Check the box to Enable 2FA for All Users to enable this feature.
What if I do not receive a code through call or text?
If you do not receive a code to your phone, it is possible that your phone number is incorrect or is missing area code. Select Back and resend the code but this time using your email account as the verification method. Once you have verified through email and successfully log in, navigate to your User Settings and update your phone number (must include area code).
What if I do not receive a code through email?
If you do not receive a code to your email, it is possible that the email ended up in the spam folder. Please check your spam inbox for the code, typically it will be found there.
Does Voice or SMS verification work for international phone numbers?
Yes, the phone verification methods work for international phone numbers. Users must include their country's international calling code when saving phone number data. If the calling code is not present, by default EasyPost will use "+1" which is the code for the United States and Canada.
Other popular calling codes:
- UK: +44
- Mexico: +52
- India: +91
- China: +86
