- Inform the carrier about using EasyPost's API for label purchases.
- Obtain rates from the carrier in the preferred format (table or API) and address any additional shipping needs.

- Log in to Forge and select Carriers from the left menu.
- Select Add Carrier on the right side of the All Carrier Accounts section.
- Search for a carrier by name. If it is not listed, contact Support.

FAQs
Q: Where does postage get charged for BYOA carriers?
A: Postage and other fees for BYOA carriers are billed directly by the carrier to the associated account. This differs from EasyPost-Powered Carriers, which are billed through the EasyPost Wallet.
Q: How do Sub Accounts set up their own BYOA carriers?
A: Sub Accounts must register directly with the carrier to obtain account credentials. Once registration is complete, the carrier can be enabled for the sub-account through either the API or Forge Dashboard.
API Setup
- Create a CarrierAccount using the sub-account's API keys and credentials.
- A user interface must be developed within the platform or marketplace to allow customers to enter their carrier credentials.
- Refer to the carrier form within Forge for required fields.
- If API keys are lost, they can be retrieved from the Sub Account Details page, provided the Forge user has access.
Forge Dashboard Setup
- Instruct customers to contact your team to enable their BYOA carrier on their behalf.
- A Forge user can enable the carrier on behalf of the customer through the Carrier Management feature on the Sub Accounts page.
- Carrier-provided credentials must be supplied to properly link the account.
