Upon registration, certain accounts, such as USPS and DHL Express, are immediately enabled. Others require activation through the Forge dashboard. This article outlines the steps to enable Wallet Carrier Accounts.
Enable the Wallet Carrier Account
- Log in to Forge and select Carriers from the left menu
- To enable a Wallet carrier, select the toggle for any disabled accounts listed in the top section of the page.
- FedEx: Complete the form that opens and click CREATE to activate.

UPS: After enabling, click the three dots to the right and select Edit Carrier Account. Enter the required details in the form and click Update Account to activate.
Name the Account (Optional)
To assign a custom name for easier identification:
- For the desired account, click the three dots to the right and choose Edit Carrier Account
- In the EasyPost Details Description field, enter a custom name and click Update.
The custom name will display on the Carriers table as the Description.
Wallet Carriers for Sub Accounts
Wallet Carrier accounts are automatically enabled for sub accounts when created, similar to platform accounts. To enable additional Wallet Carrier Accounts on behalf of a sub account:
- Navigate to Sub Accounts.
- Select the three-dot menu for the sub account and click Manage Account.
- On the Sub Account Details page, scroll to Carrier Management, and click Add Carrier.
- Use the Quick Setup Carriers section to manage Wallet Carrier accounts for the sub account.

Q: Where does postage get charged for Wallet carriers?
A: Postage and other fees for Wallet Carriers are billed directly to the EasyPost Wallet. In contrast, Bring Your Own Account (BYOA) Carriers bill charges directly to the account on file.
- With Decentralized white-label implementation, postage and fees are charged through each sub account's individual wallet.
- With a Centralized white-label implementation, postage and fees for the platform and all sub accounts are charged to the platform's wallet.
