Forge is EasyPost’s white-label shipping solution for platforms, marketplaces, and other B2B businesses. Forge enables platforms to embed shipping capabilities directly into their products while leveraging EasyPost’s multi-carrier infrastructure.
With fast onboarding, access to EasyPost’s 100+ carrier network, and competitive rates, Forge allows platforms to build fully integrated shipping experiences without managing complex carrier integrations.
Forge supports configurable account structures, flexible pricing controls, and multiple options for managing customer shipping activity.
Forge provides a set of platform capabilities for managing shipping services at scale.
Create and manage customer environments using Sub-Accounts. Platforms can configure Sub-Accounts using either Centralized (Self-Managed Billing) or Decentralized (EasyPost-Managed Billing) options.
Access EasyPost’s network of 100+ carriers through a single integration for label generation, tracking, and shipping operations.
Configure pricing strategies using Forge FlexRate, which allows platforms to apply percentage-based or fixed adjustments to carrier rates returned to sub-accounts.
Provide sub-accounts access to Advanced Shipping, a white-labeled shipping interface for purchasing labels and managing shipments.
Monitor shipping activity, operational performance, and financial metrics using Forge Analytics and Reporting tools.
Forge leverages EasyPost’s API platform, providing 99.99% uptime and scalable infrastructure.
Customizable Integration Options
Each business or customer that signs up for a platform’s shipping services is created as a sub_account.
Sub-Accounts represent independent customer environments operating under a Forge platform. Depending on the selected implementation option, sub-accounts may manage their own billing or operate under the platform’s billing structure.
Forge supports two primary sub-account options:
The platform manages carrier accounts, billing, and pricing strategy. Shipping activity is billed through the platform’s Wallet. Sub-Accounts in this option are created as Child User accounts.
Each sub-account manages its own EasyPost Wallet. EasyPost processes carrier charges and shipping fees directly through the sub-account’s wallet, reducing financial risk for the platform. Sub-Accounts in this option are created as ReferralCustomer users.
A Forge integration consists of five main components:
- Platform Application: A web or mobile application that interacts with Forge.
- Forge Account: The primary account used to manage sub-accounts, carriers, and billing.
- Customer Accounts: Individual sub-accounts created for businesses or users accessing the platform's shipping services.
-
Carriers: Shipping providers available within Forge, including:
- Wallet carriers: Carriers integrated through EasyPost's network.
- Connected carriers: Custom carriers added by the platform.
- Billing & Payments: The financial infrastructure managing postage costs, fees, and transactions within Forge.
