FAQs
Q: Why do Amazon Shipping features differ by region?
Amazon Shipping determines available services and shipment features by region. As a result, features such as Signature on Delivery and available service levels may vary depending on where the shipment originates.
Q: Does Signature on Delivery work in every region?
No.
- United Kingdom: Supported
- United States: Requests succeed, but the signature requirement is not sent to Amazon Shipping.
- European Union: Signature requests are rejected.
Q: Why are service levels different between regions?
Amazon Shipping provides different service offerings for each supported country. Use the service returned by the EasyPost API rather than specifying service names manually.
Q: What is the difference between Amazon and External shipments?
Amazon orders originate from an Amazon marketplace order. External shipments originate outside the Amazon marketplace. See the Amazon Shipping Carrier Guide for implementation details.
Q: Why isn’t an Amazon Shipping rate available?
Common causes include:
- No pickup window is available.
- The destination is outside the Amazon Shipping coverage area.
- The shipment origin does not match the registered pickup address.
- The shipment is not eligible for the requested service.
