Shipment Options

EasyPost supports the following shipment options for Roadie. These options can be passed in the shipment.options object when creating a shipment:

• delivery_confirmation: Defines the signature confirmation level. Supported values include:
  • ADULT_SIGNATURE_REQUIRED
  • ADULT21_SIGNATURE_REQUIRED
• carrier_notifications_sms: Enables SMS notifications for recipients. Set to true to activate.
• container: Indicates whether the shipment requires a trailer. Set to true if trailer usage is required.

FAQs

Q: How is a Roadie account connected to EasyPost?
A shipper account must be created directly through Roadie. Once credentials are received, they can be added to the EasyPost Carrier Account dashboard to enable rate retrieval and label purchasing.

Q: What service levels does Roadie support?
Roadie offers same-day delivery for local and regional shipments. Service availability may vary based on the origin and destination zip codes. Refer to the Roadie Carrier Guide for full service level details.

Q: What fields are required for Roadie shipments?
In addition to standard sender and recipient address fields, Roadie requires:

• Full from_address and to_address (including name, phone, street1, city, state, and zip)
• Pickup and delivery time windows (pickup_min_datetime, pickup_max_datetime, delivery_min_datetime, delivery_max_datetime)
• A valid access_token from Roadie.

Missing these fields may result in a “Field required” error during shipment creation.
