You can purchase labels in our test environment, but they will not be valid for real shipments. You will need to switch to production mode before you can purchase shippable labels.
Why am I getting different rates in the Test and Production environments?
Unless you're testing your default USPS account, our test environment does not factor in any discounts or negotiated rates that you may have with your carrier account. For all carriers besides your default USPS account, the test environment will only return retail (or slightly discounted retail) rates when you create shipments there.
Can I use real tracking codes in your test environment?
No. You'll need to use the test tracking codes that we provide for you. You can only use production trackers to track a live tracking code.
Is there a way to simulate a purchasing or rating error in the Test environment?
Unfortunately, we don't have the functionality or secret pattern to simulate a carrier breakdown in purchasing a label, returning rates, or tracking packages.
Why can't I refund a shipment in your test environment?
In order test refunds in our test environment, you'll have to refund the shipment within the first minute of creation. In our test environment, our test trackers automatically progress through tracking states so that you have a working test case for our webhook infrastructure.
