Need to quickly make labels in bulk? Use EasyPost’s Google Sheet Plugin, now available in beta.
- Enter your shipment details
- Configure your settings
- Buy your shipping labels
- (Optional) Combine labels into one file
Step 1 - Enter shipment details
Enter your shipment details into the “Create Shipments with EasyPost” tab for as many shipments as you need to create. Some examples have been provided for you.
For the “Parcel” section, only the weight (in ounces!) is required, but we strongly recommend length, width, and height to avoid carrier correction charges. If you are shipping with predefined packages, you can fill that out here as well.
Select the carrier and service level you want to purchase. Your EasyPost account comes preloaded with a USPS account, and you can also add your own carrier accounts. Use our docs to see what service levels we support. If you leave the carrier and service level sections blank, it will purchase the cheapest option.
Step 2 - Configure your settings
Enter your API key
Sign up for an EasyPost account if you haven’t already. Once you’re logged in, copy your API key from the dashboard.
If this is your first time using the Google Sheet, we strongly recommend for you to start with your Test API key before purchasing shipments in production.
When you’re ready to buy labels in production, make sure you have added funds to your account in the billing dashboard and swap out your API key in the Google Sheet.
You can adjust your label format (PDF, PNG, ZPL, EPL2) and label size (4x6, 8.5x11). If you wish to combine all your labels into one file to print easily instead of having multiple files, you can specify the file format in “Batch Label Format” (PDF, ZPL, EPL2).
Step 3 - Buy your shipping labels
If this is your first time, you will need to accept the permissions prompted by Google to run the plugin.
From the menu, click EasyPost > Purchase All Shipments to buy all the shipments in your “Create Shipments with EasyPost” sheet.
Watch your shipments be purchased! The “Label URL” and “Tracker URL” links will populate for each row.
If you encounter any errors, fix the errors in the Google Sheet as instructed. Then, you can use the “Purchase Shipment” to purchase specific rows.
(Optional) Step 4 - Print labels in one file
If you want all your label images combined into one file, from the menu bar click EasyPost > Get Batch of Shipping Labels:
A new sheet will pop up with the link to all your labels!
Click the link to download and print your file.
