Click the Buy A Label button in the upper right hand corner of your EasyPost Dashboard.
Step 2: Addresses
Fill out your Sender Info, Return To (if different from Sender Info) and Recipient address and contact information as prompted in the screen.
EasyPost will automatically verify your addresses using its USPS CASS certified address verification logic and may recommend minor reformatting. Be sure to review these recommendations to ensure successful delivery.
Optional: Save either Sender or Return addresses for future shipping labels by checking the box for Set as default for future packages.
Step 3: Customs information (optional)
Note: Customs information is mandatory when shipping across international borders. EasyPost will only prompt the user to fill out this information if the Ship From and Recipient addresses will result in cross-border transit. i.e United States to Canada etc.
Fill out mandatory Customs Information and Package Contents information for your shipment.
Next, check the box to certify and enter your name in the Signature field before proceeding.
For further support on Customs requirements, EasyPost recommends you follow the USPS standards when shipping internationally.
Step 4: Parcel & label options
Fill out your package Length, Width, Height, and Weight then select your preferred Label Format (PDF, PNG, etc.) for printing.
You may also use Add Advanced Options for less common scenarios such as requiring a signature upon delivery or declaring Hazardous Materials (Hazmat).
Step 5: Select carrier & service
Only carriers and their services which are active on your account and valid for your package specifications will be shown along with the pricing information and the carrier transit estimations, if known.
Check the box on the left of the Carrier column to make your selection.
EasyPost also offers optional Add Ons for EasyPost Insurance or purchasing carbon offsets via EcoPost for your package.
Insurance covers up to $5000 against loss, theft or damage of your package. Use the Insure Shipment panel to input the value of the contents in the package for a small fee and protect your package!
